According to the provisions of hindu marriage act you can not file divorce petition against your husband until and unless the completion of one year of period of marriage. After completing the one year you can file divorce petition on mutual consent basis or file divorce petition on the grounds mentioned in hindu marriage act. Generally ground of cruelty is the most important and common ground for divorce. Cruelty can be of physical, financial or emotional.
