Complain against father for abusing my mother

I am 21 yrs old girl and I have brother of 19 years. Our father has been abusing our mother ever since their marriage. He beat her with stick, slaps, kicks, belt for minor mistakes. This has been happening for almost 23 years. Recently my brother and father got into fight because he started shouting and was about to beat mother. He has been mentally torturing her for almost 2 decades. We do not have proof and he himself is a police officer who has good image outside. We want to get out of this since that has been implicating us mentally and career wise.
Sorry to know about your situation. Your mother can file complaint under prevention of women from domestic violence Act before a magistrate. Her complaint can be oral in nature supported by you siblings statement as witness.

You can go and file criminal complaint against him before commissioner. Meet him first and inform him about such voilence and then file FIR against your father in local police station and file domestic violence case against him.
