If your income is less than your husband or if you are income is not sufficient to maintain yourself then you can claim maintenance from your husband. There is no jacket formula to say that working women are not entitled for alimony. Depending upon financial status and social status and marriage expenses incurred the husband is bound to pay the alimony.

yes, if the income of your husband is far much more than what you are earning in the same period then in case you are able to prove some valid ground against your husband you can get alimony from him even if you are a earning women.
