Child custody petition transfer

29-Mar-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am 39 year old hindu married woman. A lawyer has given me ill advise about my child custody case and asked me to file petition in Pune whereas I reside in Kalyan Mumbai. And the lawyer took a big amount from me initially and left the case in between without doing anything. He blocked my number without giving me my case papers and left me in lurch. Now it has become critical for me to get the petition transferred in mumbai as I am not able to travel to pune due to health issues when I have no support from the lawyer in Pune whom I hired. Someone suggested me to get the case transfered to mumbai from Pune as I am the petitioner. Is it possible to get the case transferred to mumbai from pune due to my health issues and no one whom I know in Pune. Again how much time it might take to transfer such case from Pune to mumbai? Also can i take any legal action against the Pune lawyer who unethically made money and didnt worked for my case as I dont want more problems legally. Please suggest.

dear client you can withdraw the claim in Pune and ask court that you wanted to transfer said Application in Kalyan but note that opposite lawyer may object the same. it's on you to take legal action against Advocate. call me for further advice. thank you.

First of all if you are residing in Mumbai so why petition get filed in Pune itself. Now you can withdraw the case from Pune and should file case in Mumbai. Otherwise also you can hire good sincere one in pune and conduct case in Pune. You don't need to go on each date becz. of health issue. You can go to bar council and can launch complaint for his unethical behavior.
