Can My Spouse Contest the Divorce After I Filed?

10-Mar-2025 (In Divorce Law)
I initiated my divorce through OnlineDivorceWA.com, believing it would remain uncontested. However, my spouse is now expressing disagreement with certain terms. Can they legally contest the divorce at this stage, and how would that change the process?

Yes...if there is disagreement or dispute between the parties at the time of mutual divorce and wanted to fight on merits then he/she can always approach the same court and file a petition for contested divorce.

First verify if your case has been filled and case has been registered. Believing it to be registered, summons have been issued and now wife has entered into appearance. After appearance she may contest or mutually persue the case. After contesting the case evidence will start and proceed on merit.
