Can I reply to divorce notice email?
07-Mar-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My husband filed divorce case on me. it's been an year since the divorce case is in court. Currently I'm working outside India. Recently I got court notice in emails from their lawyer. I don't want to attend the court hearing and even I'm expecting divorce from him. Some of my gold is in their house and we did marriage, but I dont want anything from him. So, Can I reply to that notice mail from his lawyer saying that I'm not able to attend the hearing and please grant me divorce as I'm expecting the same?
Thanks
maam, to obtain divorce you need be present before the court or you need to engage an Advocate on behalf of you to appear and plead on behalf of you. the court will not accept the reply email, it has to filed through an affidavit before the court
