Can I get back amount forcefully taken from my income by my inlaws?

My husband and inlaws have harassed me and my family for dowry regarding which i habe filled a complaint along with evidence. My husband has tortured and forcefully made me sign on cheques and transferred amount worth 10 lakh over period of 3 years into his account. This amount was from my salary. My husband earns more than me and my in laws are also retired pensioners. Still they forcefully took lakhs from my salary, for which i have bank proofs. Can court help me get the amount back?

From the query it transpires prima facie to be a case of mental and financial abuse and thus would tantamount to domestic violence and would fall within the ambit of section 12. Would advise you to file a complaint with the CAW and a domestic violence complaint seeking monthly maintenance, compensation, residence order, return of steedhan etc. Further a suit for recovery be filed
