Can I file for a divorce if my husband is not ready to consummate

My husband stays in UK, got married on Dec'16, but could not consummate due to husband's erectile dysfunction. He came in july again and still we could not consummate, he got angry on the fact that his family members got to know, n did not talk to me, insulted me. After going back, he says he is asexual, if I want to go to UK, I have to keep 0%expectation in terms of sex. We went on a trip too, but he did not even attempt anything.I don't know when will my visa come. Want to know if I can file for divorce, how much Alimony can I demand from him? He is into betting too, lost crores of money, but refusing to give me any money, saying will only give wedding cost. N if I go with legal procedures other than mutual, then what is the process that I need to do? Isn't it a case of cheating? He knew, still married me.
You have to consult immediately as it is a clear case u have been deprived of your wedding status and definitely you can apply for maintenance from him and also may file divorce and claim alimony according to your capacity...he certainly have to pay...you have to compell him for mutual divorce by creating pressure of maintenance cade...i shall communicate further...you have to contact me over phone for suitable result...thank you

yes 100% you can move to a contested divorce on the ground you mentioned. you have to contact a lawyer who practice divorce matters like me, and file a case against your husband. you can even claim any amount of alimony. But the alimony which will be fixed by the court shall depend on the earning of both the parties.

Certainly you can file a divorce for that ground only. The Hon'ble Delhi High Court and the Hon'ble Apex Court in recent judgement held the same to be a good ground for dissolution of marriage. Recently one of my client in Family Court Calcutta also got a similar decree. There is no straight jacket formula for determination of quantum of maintenance, but naturally the 1/3rd to 1/5th of husband's income, is naturally awarded by the magistrates as maintenance.
