Can husband deny taking permanent custody of child?

If mother is willing to give permanent custody of 3 year old child to father. Can he deny taking the permanent custody of child in court?

Hello! Yes he can definitely deny the custody. Unless you apply for the same in the court and prove how you are incapable of raising the child and why the father has to take up the responsibility also the child will be asked with whom he wants to live.

All it depends on paramount consideration for the welfare of child. If he is denying the liability then you can claim maintenance for the child and if had given all in writing in mutual terms then he has to follow the terms.

Yes, he can deny to take permanent custody of the child staing his poor background or criminal background or by claiming, that, he is a pauper or his habits will create a bad impact on child. So, several reasons can be cited to avoid taking permanent custody of child.
