Yes there is a provision in law that can order the couple to stay together again. If the divorce is by mutual consent then the court appoints a counciller and thhe court asks for a councillers report, even at that stage the couple can take a decision of getting back.. moral of the story is if either of the partner wants to come back together then no provision in law can stop him/her from doing so except otherwise prayed for in the court.

They cannot force couple to stay together. If the counsellors terms are not acceptable make a reference to the court and make written application saying staying together is not possible and make reference that there cannot be forced restitution.

Basically they may suggest to give an another chance to your matrimonial relationship but they can not direct or compulsorily ask him to do so. And if you wish to call your husband to stay with you then you can file application of conjugal right I.e. to call him back

Nobody can force to stay together. You can tell the counsellor your reason for not staying together. And counselling is the process moving towards divorce. Nothing else.
