Yes, Lok Adalat is concerned with criminal cases. The Lok Adalat does not have jurisdiction over any matter or case relating to a crime that is not compoundable by any law.
What is the procedure to be followed by Lok Adalat?
The presiding officer of the Lok Adalat will hear the case after the admissions.
It is very easy. Just write to the court where Divorce petition is pending with the subject as 'Application to refer the matter to Loladalat'
