Alimony in mutual divorce and how to claim
17-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I’ve walked out of my husbands house with few essential items only. We are filing a mutual divorce as dictated by my husband and I’m clueless about the divorce. My husband is well versed with divorce procedures,so everything he’s gifted is either on his name or his father’s. The jewellery they gifted me is in the house I left , also the car I currently drive is in the name of my father in law. Can I keep the car(it is in my father in laws name but I’ve been driving it for the past one year) and claim the jewellery? Also they refuse to return my stuff that is lying in their house I fear they might damage my things.
Dear client,
Firstly talk to ur husband and asked him that u want this things from him as alimony if he agree than draft a MOU /Settlement Deed with the help of lawyer and you and ur husband sign it and at the time of first motion annexed this settlement deed. Dear client for more clarification u can contact me and I m happy to help u.
Dear Client,
If you have left your In-laws house and u an ur husband is ready to file mutual divorce then in that condition you should talk ur husband for ur left articles which especially belongs to u. Whereas for car if it was purchased by u then u may claim or likewise any other articles. Ur own belongings and personal used items or articles gadgets may be claimed. if not ready you must issue him simple demand / claim letter to husband.
