After Death wife's inheritence

My brother got deceased, His wife and her family got separated from us with a social agreement and taking all her items and goods back from us. They don't have any children. She is working and earning 60k per month, and planning to remarry soon. How much share she can claim from a term insurance which got disbursed to deceased father's account as nominee??.

Insurance can be claimed by the wife through a court as he is the legal heir of her deceased husband. However the same can only be sought through court with exceptional circumstances and the company would not Suo moto grant the same in her name. According to the information provided by you, the insurance claim will be equally distributed amongst the Class-I legal heirs of the deceased. Therefore, the wife of your brother being the class-I legal heir of your deceased brother can claim a equal share, same as the share of the other legal heirs.
