How to calculate maintenance to wife after divorce.

Maintainence/One time Alimony is calculated on the basis of income of the husband, wifes inablity to maintain herself, children expenses, standard of living, liability upon the husband etc.
Incase if the wife is working and able to mainatain herself alimony amount maintenance amount would be considerably low.

Until she marry with another person she has right to claim maintance. Whether she is unable to maintain herself by Her own income . Then how much her previous husband is earning, depend upon the income of her husband.

It is not decided by you or any other person other then the Court. If once the Matter is before the Hon'ble Court the Court only has the power to try and decide the maintenance on the circumstances of the case whether how much of the maintenance to be granted or to not to be.
