A guy called off the wedding on whatsapp and absconding from the city

I was in a relationship with a person and we were getting married in May. After spending so many months together, he played with my feelings, time, emotions, body, soul.. all the preparations were about to done and then he came out with an excuse that our basic natures are different and didn't confront anything on my face but conveying everything through his parents. Later on he ran away from the city by informing the official work and called off the wedding on whatsapp.
What kind case i should file on him ?

you can file a case for false promise of marriage and last week supreme court has pronounced a judgement that sex on pretext of marriage amounts to rape so you can also file a rape case against him.
before doing all this you first have to lodge a FIR against him.
