What Possible Recourse I have in the following case

Hi, One of my acquaintance, has abused and given rape threats to my family members over on whatsapp. It all started after we got into a verbal altercation on whatsapp and he used the rape threat to provoke me. I want to know if there is any legal recourse available. The acquaintance I am talking about is a PhD student at Delhi University.

yes, you first take the printouts of the screenshot bearing the chat details and then make it an annexure and file a complaint to the Police. apart from this you can send him or her a legal notice mentioning a apology letter from the acquaintance. for details it would be better to contact me personally. Thanks
