It sounds like you’ve encountered a serious and distressing scam. The person you contacted via WhatsApp, claiming to be an escort agent, is now using threats and intimidation tactics to try to extort money from you. This kind of behavior is illegal and falls under the category of online harassment, blackmail, or even cyberstalking, depending on your jurisdiction. These scammers often rely on fear, hoping that their victims will panic and send money to avoid trouble, even though the threats are typically empty. If you haven’t committed any actual crime and only contacted someone through a website, there is no legal ground for them to file a complaint of sexual harassment against you, especially if no illegal content or interaction occurred. It’s important that you do not send any money or continue engaging with this person. Instead, preserve all messages, screenshots, phone numbers, and any other evidence of the threats and demands. These can be used if you decide to report the incident to local authorities or through official cybercrime reporting portals. You should also consider blocking the person on WhatsApp to stop further communication. Do not let fear drive your decisions—this is a manipulation tactic that scammers often use.
