Online Job scam- Asking to pay huge amount and legal notice
10-Feb-2025 (In Cyber Crime Law)
I have received a WhatsApp message stating that I have to fill out 600 forms in 6 days, and each form get 32 rs total around 19200 rupes salary. So they took passport-size photos, driving licence ID and online signatures for filling an agreement. To quit the deal and job, they are asking for 32,000 rs and also a fine for not completing the work of 6900 rs. It is a trap now. They are threatening to send a legal notice since I have signed an agreement knowingly. And lawyer notice. What to do? HELP
This is a scam. Do not pay them anything. Block their contact immediately and do not respond to their threats. Do not share any more personal details with them. File a complaint on cybercrime or visit the local Cyber Crime Police Station. If they continue harassing you, we can send a legal notice warning them against fraud and extortion
This is a cyber fraud pretending to be a recruiter to you. Don’t fall prey, then you will be losing your money.
But, you can save several people like you; immediately report to the nearest Cyber crime police(must be in SP office/commissioner office in case of city), file complaint to them. They will find out these criminals and this action of yours could save someone who could be a next victim of this kind of fraudulent job scams.
Don’t hesitate to approach the cyber crime police; your complaint maybe helpful to them to track down these perpetrators.
