01-Mar-2025 (In Criminal Law)
My wife victim got physically intimated to a person year back, than a third person land lord started sexualy assaulting her by giving fear of defamation for many months. finally she broke her silence, what is the legal process to handle such case as victim. we do have a lot of digital evidence which proves all those via whatsapp chat and audio calls.
I’m sorry to hear about this situation. Your wife has legal remedies available under criminal law for sexual assault, blackmail, and criminal intimidation. Since you have digital evidence, it can play a crucial role in the case.
The first step is to file a police complaint (FIR) at the nearest police station. The complaint should detail the incidents, including how the landlord exploited the situation and assaulted her. The police will investigate based on the evidence provided.
Additionally, preserving all digital evidence is crucial. Make sure to securely back up WhatsApp chats, audio calls, and any other proof, as they will be key in supporting your wife’s case during the investigation and trial.
Let me know if you need assistance with drafting the complaint or any further legal advice.
Dear Sir,
It is for your wife to initiate to lodge complaint on the available evidence as the other party blackmailing her and put her under instant threat. Ask her to meet Senior IPS Lady Officer so that landlord will be summoned and if necessary sent to jail by registering a case against him.
