What can we do if someone sue us from the different state

A person residing in a other state of indiaa threatened me that he will make a false case on me from his state. For which i have to go in his state. Can he do this? If yes then advise me how can we prove that case is false without going in his state.
First of all no one can file a false fir in the police station and if he do so and later it is proffed that this fir is false and does not exists in reality then a legal action can be taken on that person.
