What is the validity of an FIR for unknown?How will the complainant come to know when it will be closed by the court?

if the police dont find anything they will ask you come and sign the frt in court. thats how you will know. the thing is after fir police has 90 days to file chargesheet. so you have to wait that long. do followcup with the you regularly though.

when the FRT will be submitted by the police the complainant will be called and informed about the closure of the case. simultaneously the complainant is required to sign the FRT before it is submitted to the court. regards, Tanmoy Chattopadhyay, M.Sc (Net), LL.B (Delhi), Advocate, Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta. did you get the case number? if you get this then just communicate with a lawyer, give his the number about the position of the case, is there any chargesheet submitted or not, and after that you should have to wait to get summons from the court to appear as a witness
