Unauthorized repair, part replacement and missing(Tata motors)

11-Apr-2026 (In Criminal Law)
I own a Tata Nexon (2024). Gave it to an authorized service center for minor bumper repair. Without consent, they repainted multiple panels, replaced all doors with mismatched ones, and now factory speakers are missing. No job card or approval exists. Matter is pending before Consumer Commission (CC 792/2025). Can this also amount to criminal breach of trust? Can I file a police complaint parallelly? What strategy should I follow?

Yes, you can file FIR for criminal breach of trust. Both the complaint can go parallelly. If the police is not registering the complaint, go and file private complaint before magistrate. Magistrate will look into the matter and after the prima facie case he will summon the executive of tata motors

No you can not go for a criminal breach of trust as you have already file case in consumer forum and related with the consumer so the directy you cannot set the state missionary into the motion by lodging FIR. Better would be to proceed in th he same court .

yes you can file a criminal complaint against them, don't take the delivery of the car, send them legal notice also and if police are not registering your complaint you can seek help of a lawyer and get it done through court under section 173(4) BNSS
