UK business defrauded by Indian manufacturer. Money paid No goods.

Having dealt with the same Indian manufacturer for over three years the manufacturer has refused to send our goods. Having been paid for the invoice in advance. Effectively stealing the money we paid him. We being a U.K. Based business the manufacturer obviously believes he is out of reach of any legal consequences ..he is still brazenly trading. Where do we start regarding holding this manufacturer to account? We also know we are not his first international victims. Assistance appreciated...
File a civil as well as criminal suit against the manufacturer. Civil suit will help you to recover. Try to get a stay on business of defaulter. Criminal suit will help to punish the defaulter and shall teach him a lesson to stop this in future. He is definitely not out of reach of legal consequences.

In your case it has to be seen that wether there is any agreement between you two, alongwith the mode of payment. If there is a agreement that can be enforced. If you have any presence in india you can also file a criminal complaint so that the party could be made to seek settelment.

Dear Sir, In such circumstances where you have been defrauded and misappropriated by the manufacturer company you should first of all send a legal notice to the company thereafter if the breach of contract is continued you can also file civil suit for recovery of the amount. If you are living at the out side of the country you may appoint power of attorney to a lawyer who can file a suit and other document on behalf of you. Without filing any objection he would not going to given you the amount. If you file a suit through your counsel he would be threatened and ready to give you all misappropriated amount.
