Someonr assaulted physically on my grandmother

My neighbour has assaulted physically on my grandmother & also she slapped her and police is not taking our complain seriously so what action i should take further?.

If you have given a written complaint and police is not taking any action then you may write it to the superintendent of police of the region. Even after writing to the superintendent of police, no cognizance is taken over your complaint then you may approach the magistrate
