Someone stole by boss money from my procession

19-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I was asked to handover around 20 thousand rupees to my boss which I kept in my bag which was placed at a seat in my office. My boss was not there in the office and when my boss came back to the office, I immediately checked my bag to hand over him the money. I couldn't find the money in my bag, it appears to be someone in the office stole the money from my bag while I was not on seat. My boss has done a police complaint, I want to understand what legal action I can take Or else how can I save myself.

You should go for anticipatory bail first. File for it. Because first doubt may be on you for the money stolen as it was in your possession so you should go for anticipatory bail (अग्रिम जमानत) first.

If you have not done anything wrong then you need not worry. 20k is not such a big amount for what your boss booked a complaint. Nevertheless you have to put your points that the money was stolen by some other person. You can look for CCTV or any evidences for you. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Hi, in such a case you may be named as an accused, but since this has happened inside the office, you may look at the cctv footage if any. In the end if the police chooses to investigate the matter you will have to cooperate and require a defence lawyer to move bail applications and discharge. Please feel free to contact me for any assistance.

Hi In case your boss has already filed a case on your behalf, you don’t need to take any legal action. However, if the case has been filed against you, then you should file a police compliance against the unknown person.
