Serve notice personally if respondent do not appear in court

21-Aug-2024 (In Criminal Law)
My advocate collected notice from magistrate court in dv case. He met protection officer. The protection officer asked advocate to serve notice. I was not with my advocate , so I really do not know what exactly happened. My advocate says that he has served notice to respondent. But advocate has not shared any proof. Now his number is not reachable. If respondent do not appear in court on next date then can I request magistrate court to give me copy of notice to me and how to serve it?

Dear client, based on your question yes you can ask for notice and also plaintiff personally can serve notice directly to defendant . But acknowledgment receipt have to be produced before the court. For further details feel free to contact us.

on next date your adv will file a service affidavit in court. If your adv do not file the same, then you can request the court to reissue the notice and then you may collect the same from department and serve it to the respondents address.

Well, you can serve the Notice to Respondent directly on her Email, via RPAD, on her WhatsApp and you can get the notice published on her Door of the House too and get it videographed for submitting as Proof of Service of Notice in Court.
