My friend's truck was illegally seized by the mining department and SDM, despite having a valid royalty slip. The empty truck was en route to the government depot, 2 km away. The officials arrived in a private vehicle and seized the truck a month ago, now imposing a Rs. 2 lakh penalty. This has halted my friend's business, causing a Rs. 7 lakh loss and bank penalties. Dear client, based on your question If the mining department SDM has seized your truck, which had the royalty slip, please ensure that you have all the required agreements according to mining laws as well as the state RTO Guidelines which includes RC BOOK, COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE, PUC, ALL INDIA PERMIT, OTT, KHADAN TAX, VEHICLE YEARLY PASSING, STATE TRANSPORT ROAD TAX PAID RECIEPT OF MONTHLY/QUARTERLY BASIS. If your truck is contracted with the Government of India's mining department, they have no authority to stop it as it is your vehicle which shall be having valid contract/agreement with Govt. of India.
