I have been fighting my cases for 5 yrs. Along with that I am a patient of gulcoma and hydrocephalus (brain tumour). My husband is impotent. I want divorce from him but he is dragging the matter last 4yrs . He gave his itr of last 6.5.4 years. Not past 3 years. I am fed up and fail to understand how and what should I do that I get maintenance. He claims he is non working person and nor he has business but on record he doesn’t show proof. So far 3 lawyers I have changed but none of them he gave right directly to my case and tight my husband nut boult and bring fear in his mind. He is playing with law. Can anyone suggest what should I do part from changing lawyer. Any remedy can anyone tell that can help me in my difficult time. Can anyone help one patient to get some finically help because I lacking for money. Can’t afford to change lawyers again and again.

If the behaviour of your husband is intolerable towards you can anytime send a complaint regarding your grievances in writing to the police station according to your jurisdiction. And if you wish to go legal then you can also file a petition under section 12 DV or section 125 CrPC and claim maintenance for yourself. And if there's no scope of living together then rather stretching the relationship you should file for contested divorce under the ground of cruelty. For the matter of maintenance , husband can not wriggle out his responsibilities merely on the ground that he is not working. If he is capable of earning and has deliberately chosen to sit at home he is still liable to maintain his wife. If you have material to prove the standard of life he is leading to show to court, your case can become stronger on that only. However for any better advice needs to peruse the case file.
