21-Apr-2025 (In Criminal Law)
Boyfriend reject to marry after 2 year physical relationship & he said that we did that by our agreement so u can't file complain against me! So what can I do now?
Namaste,
How long has your relationship been going on?
Is there any written contract or agreement between both of you ? Did your boyfriend forcefully have physical relationship with you or try to have physical relationship with you? you can file a police complaint against your boyfriend.

Your Situation:
You were in a physical relationship for 2 years.
He now refuses to marry you, saying it was mutual.
If you can show that he made a false promise of marriage just to have sex and never intended to marry, it can be prosecuted as rape under BNS Section 63.
---
What You Can Do:
1. File an FIR at the nearest police station:
Clearly mention that your consent was based on the promise of marriage.
Attach any evidence: chats, messages, witness statements, etc.
2. Contact a lawyer:
A criminal lawyer will help you draft your complaint clearly and ensure it is filed under the correct sections of BNS.
3. Police Investigation:
Police will investigate his intent, any promises made, and whether he deliberately misled you.
