Quashing of FIR for Credit card forgery case without any conviction...

Hi,
My case, for credit card forgery is in Rohini Court for 17 Years, without any disposal. The Judge has advice us to file appeal in High Court to Quash the FIR. We need to know, if there is any way to do it. The person who brought me in the case as and one of the accused has passed away already. Is there any way I can get away from this without any conviction as it is suffering my martial life.

As you must already been having your advocate to represent your case, you must have mutual confidence to discuss the further remedies.
Unless the entire case is studied in details, a generic response may not be of any value to you. But generally speaking if the Hon’ble Judge has guided you by way of an appeal in the HC for quash the FIR. It can be done under â€482 of CrPC.

there are provisions in the Code of Criminal Procedure which allow the FIR to be quashed against 1 or more accused persons. but it is not necessary that the FIR will be quashed as it depends on the facts and circumstances of your case
