Pocso 7/8 case registered on me.I am not here to tell whether I m guilty or not as I leave it to your experience on pocso matter where things are always consenual and in my case dating app leads me to pocso as I m unaware of age. My question is the victim father is taking 2 lakh for settlement and their lawyer saying on the basis of father's statement everything will be done and victim will not come for chief examination. I m wondering is it really possible?

Dear client , based on your questions, in Pocso matter minor consent not vaild. so in your matter is there any consensual sexual intercourse it will treated as Rape. you mention that victim's father want to settle the matter with compensation. Well, what if the opposite party takes 2 lakhs from you and after taking such money too, does not stick to their promise. Hence, deal with them very carefully, deal with them as per the law of the land.
