Odometer tampering in second hand bike purchase

02-May-2024 (In Criminal Law)
I have purchased the second hand bike from a seller through one shop. The odometer was showing around 13000 Km reading, post purchase when it was sent to showroom for servicing the actual reading found out to be 43000 Km. What can be done in such scenario?

You can file criminal breach of trust, cheating for the making you belive its true when they knew it is false. He can be punished in both civil law and criminal law for this act. also you can file consumer complaints for the same.

Dear Sir, It is nothing but cheating case as such you may either return back the bike and get back your amount with some damages. If not agreed you can lodge complaint with Police and RTO authorities like that you can pursue the matter.
