Not completion old flat renovation work

01-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I got a quotation from a contractor for 3.6 lac to renovate my old flat at Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai. He started the work in Jan and as per quotation he suppose to finish the work within 45 days. I paid already 3lac to him thru Google pay but he has not completed 50% of the work and stopped working further. Shall I send legal notice or make police complaint? Please advice

I presume that the contractor is irresponsive to your phone calls. I also presume that you have sent messages regarding completion of renovation work. In such a scenario you can send legal notice through an advocate asking him to finish the work within 15 or 30 days or return the amount.
