Drunk driving in India is a serious offence under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, with penalties of up to ₹10,000 fine and/or 6 months imprisonment for the first offence. The case usually requires court appearance (Magistrate) for disposal. For first-time offenders, courts often impose fines rather than jail time

you can go to traffic police station and enquire about tis, mostly they will send challan to the court after certain time, u need to confirm this before police station, or u can also file RTI for inspection of record, i can help u in drafting RTI for inspection of record, you can check Their record through RTI.

Hello, In this case you neet to file the application for disposal of challan before the concerned magistrate, then the magistrate will issue a notice to the police and then as and when the reply has been received you need to pay of the fine imposed by the magistrate.

Hi, this is exactly how it shows online. You will have to visit the court to confirm the status, file an application that you wish to pay the fine and then pay whatever fine the court imposes. Once paid, the challan will be removed in a few days.

You need to hire a lawyer and visit the court, your lawyer will put the application and call the challan and then either you have to pay the challan or you can contest the challan, thereafter your vehicle will be released after disposal of challan.
