Beating/assault by anyone amounts to a criminal offense, if you wish you can bring him to justice by filing a criminal complaint against him in the area Police Station in writing.
Make sure the complaint is drafted by an advocate, and keep the records of all details so as to include in the complaint.
And if the Police doesn’t take any action you can approach the court through an advocate to file a complaint against your coworker

Verbal harassment and physical assault are both punishable offenses. If you have been facing verbal harassment from your co-worker, you can consider taking the following legal remedies:

File a complaint with your employer: You can bring the matter to the attention of your employer and file a formal complaint against your co-worker. Your employer is required to take prompt action against the offender under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at Workplace Act.
File a complaint with the police: If the harassment is severe and persistent, you can file a complaint with the police under Section 354A (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). If your co-worker has assaulted you physically, you can file a complaint under Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) or Section 352 (assault or criminal force) of the IPC.
Use CCTV footage as evidence: If you have evidence of the physical assault in the form of CCTV footage, you can use it to support your complaint and establish the offense committed by your co-worker.
Seek legal action under the POSH Act: The POSH Act provides for a redressal mechanism for complaints of sexual harassment at the workplace. You can file a complaint with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) established by your employer and seek legal action against your co-worker.
It is advisable to seek legal advice from a lawyer who specializes in criminal and civil law to help you take appropriate legal action against your co-worker. Additionally, you can also approach a local women's organization or a non-governmental organization (NGO) working on women's rights for support and guidance.
