Which place and district are you from? I need to see the notices. Try to collect a copy of the FIR first. Go to the GR Branch connected to the jurisdictional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, collect the P.S. Case number from there and take a certified copy of the FIR first. Without perusing the FIR and notices it would be very difficult to advice you correctly. Moreover ask your father to be safe unless you obtain the copy of the FIR. Once you obtain the copy of the FIR, your father may have to take anticipatory bail. Be prepared.

Notice to witness or Accused? If witness then go to the police and narrate the entire incident. If accused then file an Anticipatory Bail Application before the Sessions Judge or the High Court. If the anticipatory bail application is allowed then ask him to go to the police to narrate the entire incident. Or else write to the Superintendent of Police

At the beginning please understand that your father needs to take an anticipatory bail immediately. There after other things can be taken care of but the most important thing is to get the anticipatory bail.
