Matrimonial fraud and violence

19-Jun-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Hi,I had arranged marriage through shaadi.com on Jan 2016.After marriage my husband was very violent to me and i registered FIR(498 A).Later he gave written undertaking and promised not to repeat the behaviour so compromised in high court and FIR was quashed. One month after quash he repeated same violence and during this event i was fed up and attempted suicide he has video of it and keeps blackmailing to show that to everyone. In between i got to know that he had furnished false details about his job and education in shaadi.com and cheated me at the time of marriage. When asked he fought with me and put me out of the house.I have registered complaint again and FIR is lodged again under (section 498 a and 420).Police have not started investigating although gave them enough proof(whatsapp chat) and house owner is eye witness for all violence happened. What can i do next to speed up investigation? Will my suicide attempt video he has will cause damage to me?

Hello madam U can recall the earlier order for quashing in Hon'ble high court. By showing the recent developments since you have a evidence. Instead of that why again you filed another complaint? Any how now also you can try to reopen earlier high court order but should see the judgement what is the observation made. Tq

Though you have given enough details of events whatsapp chat may not become evidence for IPC 420, For 498A police are hesitating to book FIR probably because you once withdrew the same at High court. Still you can ask intervention of Court to force police to speed up matter.

Madam, first and foremost no damage will be caused to you are the cases filed by you, if your husband shows the video as evidence it will not affect, has you can take a defence by stating that you were abbeted to commit suicide by your husband, are force to do it to avoid his violence , u can also give a complaint at the police commissioner office along with that u can also file a PCR against your husband.
