18-Oct-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I am writing to seek your legal advice and guidance regarding a complex situation my family is currently facing. In 2020, my father passed away, and I have been residing in Australia since 2019. He was a part of a local committee, and we are unsure about the details of the committee's money. Recently, local individuals have been harassing my mother, pressuring her to pay money related to the committee. My mother made a complain yesterday to local police station

If the behaviour of the persons are intolerable towards your mother then she can anytime send a complaint regarding her grievances in writing to register a FIR against the culprits because without FIR police can't do anything. And if the police officials fail to register the same then you can always approach the court under section 156(3) CrPC for giving directions to the police to register the FIR.

First of all please clear as in what capacity he was associated with that committee and what it was meant for ? Secondly after giving a complaint to a local police station a legal notice should be sent to those local Individuals who all are harassing your mother. This will at least restrain them from doing so.

Along with the contents of harassment cause to your mother. after which from magistrate you can seek a protection order.
