Legal action against Domestic Violence by father on wife & son

16-Jan-2023 (In Criminal Law)
my father had always been typically abusive and physical towards me and my mom from my childhood. He has slapped and pushed my mom against a wall in various occasions. now he is playing a trick, he intentionally verbally abusing my mom and me and whenever i am protesting, he ia pretending like he is a helpless old man who is being tortured by his son. and threatening me for legal action. I never hit him, i don't even talk to him but he is provoking me and whenever i revert back, he is taking advantage and making himself the victim. Neighbors know everything and they have always taken our side, they know the actual thing. He is constantly abusing us but it's like we can't say anything, if we do he is making it opposite and making it look like we are trying to torture him. We are vertly peace-loving people. he has driven us out in the midnight and also uses slang language. What should we do now from legal point of view?

At first try to settle the matter amicably with senior family member if not possible then lodge a complaint before the local police station in this regard . But in my opinion without detail discussion proper consult is not possible.

Firstly ask you mother to lodge FIR at your nearest police station stating the entire fact... police after initial investigation will register a case against ur father under domestic violence act... and if police does not take any step do approach us,we will help you and ur mother by filing case through the court of law....

I understand that your father is abusive, but I am ununable to understand the reason for such unabusiveness.Try to solve the problem by talking to your father. If it doesn't work out then file a police complaint and inform them about this matter.Your mother can also file a domestic violence complaint in the name of your father. Thanks.
