26-Dec-2023 (In Criminal Law)
392 28/8(2) plea guilty - 1000 rs paid receipt. Dint get the judgement copy. Telling this with whatever read on the operative order. What does convicted under 392 but released on probation means? They made pay 1000inr penalty and bond of 15000rs. So 2 years probation means they will call anytime and sentence or they release after 2 years with no sentence if the behaviour is good and there is noo similar conviction. What are the chances of traveling abroad, getting US Visa? Session court appeal?

Well, Releasing through probation means that a person, after conviction and sentence, is released, subject to certain conditions imposed by the court and under the supervision of a probation officer. As far as 2 years of probation is concerned, I can tel you what it means on seeing the Final Order/Decree.

Probation is defined as a type of criminal punishment where the offender does not have to serve jail time, but instead serves a period of time being supervised, while in the community. Probation is most often granted to people guilty of misdemeanour crimes, first-time offenders, and non-violent offenders as a means to keep the offenders functioning in society, while they serve out their sentences. You can travel abroad after two years of probation on which you'll remain out of Jail, but your behaviour will be monitored in society.
