If someone had an FIR and went to jail for 15 days, I want to know two things: Can he be eligible for civil services? Can the case be closed forever? Because the police haven't sent the charge sheet yet, and it has been three years. The case was entirely false with incorrect charges like ragging and Section 307, among others. The police also did not present the victim to the magistrate within 24 hours. Please help, what should I do to close the case in court?

Can apply for civil services however should disclose about the pending FIR Further, the case can be closed by filing a quashing petition. This quashing will be of the FIR. I would also recommend to get in touch with us for further better discussion.

Yes he is eligible for civil services but he should not be convicted for any offence and at the end of the trial the acquittal should be honourable acquittal. The police has to present the accused before the magistrate within 24 hrs not the victim.
