Husband and wife staying seperately from 1.6years. wife was put out of the matrimonial house and husband moved to Bangalore. She s not aware as where husband is residing. nBoth husband's parents house and wife's parents house is in Mangalore.But now wife is residing in Bangalore in her uncle's place. nShe has got most of the evidence to show against the verbal harrasment she faced by inlaws and husband's aunt. nCan wife file 498a in Bangalore.

yes a case can be filed in Bangalore, as per the supreme court ruling case can be filed by the wife where she takes shelter after leaving or driven away, reported in supreme court ruling 2019 criminal rulings page 689. but i thin it is better to file a domestic violence case in place where you are residing and ask the reliefs which you actually require.

Dear Madam, You can file 498A in Bengaluru also saying that cruelty happened even through phone calls and mobile calls. You can also include sections like 3 and 4 of Prohibition Act to strengthen your complaint and also get jurisdiction in Bengaluru Courts.
