How to prove a illegal omission and section 498A

10-Apr-2024 (In Criminal Law)
My sister committed suicide on January 5th, 2024, after enduring cruelty from her husband and in-laws. In a recorded clip, one person can be heard screaming at her while 8 to 9 others were present. She informed the police of physical violence inflicted not only by her husband but also by other family members, but no action was taken. Tragically, she took her own life following the incident. Would apricate if I get relevant case laws and how we can prove that all members are accused.

Hello this is a case of dowry death unless the contrary proven by Accused, this is a serious matter, first step would be to register an FIR and get PM done, they all should be arrested immediately for abetting to commit suicide and if there are any other provisions are attracted then those should be invoked in FIR

You should file a criminal complaint before the police station against her in laws to register an FIR under section 306 of penal code. If police don't take action then file a complaint before superintendent of police. If police don't register FIR even after this then you should file an application before the magistrate
