You need to suggest your friend that never hide any blackmailing and other regular criminal acts of her boy friend from parents because parents are the best judge to solve this type of problems. She need not worry about threats of her boy friend and requires to file a complaint with the police for threats, blackmailing, rape and criminal intimidation. That guy will be immediately be booked under various section like 376 and 506. If the girl is minor then POCSO Act will also be applicable. If she wants to have the legal recourse, she would first have to take her family into confident. Then lodge a police complaint for rape. Leave the rest to the court. Otherwise this is going to continue for all times to come. The only threat he gives her is that he would inform her family, let her remove this threat first.
