Fraud commited by known person.

19-May-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I have been scammed by a known person. He lied to me about doing some business with him and I without doing any due diligence gave him about 55-60 lakh rupees. Later i found out there was no such business and he took all that money and probably lost it. The only proof i have is my bank statement because i have done all those transactions from my account to his. Please guide me. What are my options here to recover my money?

If they are not listening to you then you can send them a legal notice and in that notice you can write either refund my money back along with compensation or face legal action. And if want to go legal then you can always forward a written complaint to the police station of your area. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

it is surprising that an amount of INR 55-60 lakhs can be transferred to someone without proper record of business or contract. however if that is done even then the money cannot be recovered because the bank transfer does not amount to the proof of contractual agreement. So as an advocate i can advise you that kindly get your money with pleading rather than fighting it out

Hi, You can file suit for the recovery of your money. This is the best legal remedy. Bank statement is enough to show that you have made the payment and then obligation will be on Other party to show that he took money for discharge of any debt
