FIR on Senior Citizen need to Squash C Report

Hi, Senior Citizen 85yrs, relatives filed FIR on her as soon as her sister passed away. I am an NRI and FIR was filed on me as well. Lies was mentioned in the FIR abt money n gold. Two years later yr2022 C report was created. Different party claimed legal hire status and took gold. we went through harassment and trauma for something we did not do or take money gold. I wld like to know what I can do next to squash this C-report. As a NRI can I Squash from USA.

C-report can be quashed if there is no offence made out prima facie and if the case is filed owing to ulterior motives and further counter action on the erring parties can be ensured especially where the suffering party is of such age. However the same can be filed only in the concerned High Court in India and further if required SLP can be filed in the SC. No you cannot quash this from USA. You need to file a case in high court for quashing the FIR or you may contest the trial on Merit. These two options are there , you may choose how to proceed based on this advise. Wish you all the best.
