You can file a complaint under section 498-A Indian penal code for mental cruelty against your in laws.
Also you can file a complaint in dowry prohibition act if they are raising any demand for dowry.
If they are threatening to kill your husband then he can file a complaint under section 506 IPC

I thank God that at least your husband is on your side. That is all that matter in married life. Leave your in-laws and move to a safer house even if you have to take one on rent. If security is of much concern, lodge an FIR with your local Police Station. You can file case against them in protection of women from domestic violence and take the protection order from the court and seek different relief for your husband as well in different provisions of Indian Penal Code.
