False notice of electricity theft by UPPCL

23-Mar-2023 (In Criminal Law)
A week ago, my parents got a notice to pay an amount of ₹76000 by the UPPCL for the alleged theft of electricity by meter tempering and direct pole connection. And that is totally baseless notice as the pole was having several wires and since the pole is at our doorstep, they have faulty noted the name of our meter. nIt is to be noted that we have always paid our electricity bills before the due date but yet we were getting false notices and this giving mental stress to my family members. nWhat should we can do, please suggest?
