Educated women also take advantage of 376 . Unlike Delhi where the false 376 cases constitute of using sedatives or intoxication , or due to family pressure women fabricate men, in Kolkata women use breach of marriage promise as the cause for making a 376 case. University, college male professors and officials , a lot of them, are facing 376 cases. Sometime it is done by other colleagues to settle a personal score, sometime incompetent students are filing firs against supervisors and taking advantage of this law. The trouble is 376 coupled with IPC 90 , the victims testimony solely can constitute rape allegations. The pattern is quite congruent , female students befriend with professors either divorced or bachelors , fell in so called love or whatever, lure them for physical intimacy and or it grows up mutually and then If any dispute arises they go and file Rape cases against these male professors. A personal fall out thus becomes crime against the state. The woman's name never come
