Dowry case by person not being relative of bride

If you are not a relative of bride can someone file the dowry case against groom's family ?

Yes he can. Anybody can file case against anyone. But the thing is that your maintenability as opposite party has to be proven

The bridge herself Lodge fir against the groom,s family. If she is not in a condition to lodge fir then any one can lodge fir stating all the facts after investigation if police find out the allegations then register the fir

It is not that only a victim shall file an fir. If the victim is not in condition to file fir, any person who ever can file an fir. The police after conducting proper enquiry whether the allegations made by complainant are true or not.

No any person can't file a criminal case under section 498A of Indian penal code against the members of groom's family.The aggrieved person or her family members can file a case but if they misuse the provision of law then there is sufficient provision in law to punish them.
